Former IAB Affiliate Marketing Council Chair set to take the reins and drive UK growth

London, 3 April 2013 – affilinet, the specialist performance marketing company, has today announced that Helen Southgate has been appointed UK MD.

She joins affilinet from BSkyB, where she was responsible for the broadcaster’s online marketing planning and strategy. Southgate has eleven years experience in performance marketing and in 2011 was the IAB Affiliate Marketing Council Chair.

“In the last couple of years performance marketing has really widened in scope. Clients are looking for more added value and a better understanding of how performance marketing fits into the overall marketing mix. This shift has created a gap in the market for a network that can do things differently. affilinet has already started to capitalise on this and with its
team, experience and flair is very much starting to lead the industry from the front,” said Helen Southgate, affilinet UK MD.

Southgate’s appointment follows a series of internal investments aimed at helping affilinet’s clients to generate greater insight and transparency into their performance marketing programmes. This understanding can then be used to better target audiences, innovate and take advantage of new channels.

Southgate will start her new role in May 2013. Her primary focus will be to grow business in the UK, but she will also work alongside other country managers to grow the network at a European level.
