Econsultancy and Marketing Magazine have this week launched the second annual State of Digital Marketing in Australia survey.

The research, which is being carried out by Econsultancy, will again cover budgets, marketing objectives, use of channels and the latest trends in digital skills, knowledge and support.

The survey takes about 10 minutes to complete and is open to all Australian marketing and e-commerce professionals, working either client-side or for an agency or digital service provider. Those who participate will receive a free copy of the report, which is normally priced at $400.

The survey can be accessed at: ecly.co/DigitalOz13

Econsultancy’s Research and Education Director, Jake Hird, said:

“It’s exciting to be running this research for the second time around. The previous survey revealed some great insights for 2012, with digital clearly becoming more of a priority for marketers. It will be great to understand what lies ahead for the industry next year.”

The responses of nearly 550 marketers were detailed in the previous research piece, which is fast becoming the benchmark for digital marketers in Australia. Hird said:

“The partnership with Marketing Magazine is important to Econsultancy, as we’re reaching all marketers, beyond just those working in digital, which means we can paint a much clearer overall picture around the development of online in the marketing industry. We're very appreciative of individuals taking part, because the more people who participate, the bigger impact the survey will have.

“The data produced previously was very rich and reflected a broad spectrum of channel insights and topical issues. Now we’re building on this and hope that this second survey will not only demonstrate the growth and maturity of digital in Australia, but will also reveal lots of other nuggets of information to help support marketers in the region."

The survey is open for participation until Thursday 13 December, 2012
