INDIANAPOLIS and RICHMOND UPON THAMES, Surrey - (March 9, 2005) - ExactTarget, a leading U.S.-based developer of on-demand email marketing software solutions, today announced it has entered into a preferred reseller partnership with Keymail Marketing Limited, Surrey, England. This is the first international partnership for ExactTarget, who has 3,000 worldwide customers under annual contract, more than any other email service provider.
The partnership will provide important support to ExactTarget’s current U.K.-based customers, as well as its domestic customers with European offices.
“Keymail Marketing is led by successful veterans in the email service provider arena. Its founders, Jeff Barnes and David Godden, share our passion for innovative email solutions that help build stronger relationships,” said Scott Dorsey, president of ExactTarget. “The combination of ExactTarget software and Keymail Marketing’s industry expertise will add tremendous value to marketers throughout the U.K.”
Keymail Marketing was formed by email pioneers Jeff Barnes and David Godden, both of whom have tremendous experience and expertise in the industry as principals of e2 communications, one of the first UK email companies established back in 2000.
“Keymail Marketing addresses the strong market need for a credible supplier of email services. The formal launch of the ExactTarget solution into the U.K. market is very timely for U.K. emarketers who are tired of the ‘one-size fits all’ approach of other providers,” said co-founder Jeff Barnes.
Keymail evaluated the major U.S. email service provider (ESP) companies before agreeing to the preferred reseller partnership with ExactTarget. “Our decision was based upon ExactTarget’s wide range of solutions, which are ideal for the U.K. market. In addition, we were impressed that Exact Target is ranked as a Strong Performer in the 2004 Forrester Wave report based on the software’s extreme ease of use and standout capabilities,” said co-founder David Godden.
Keymail will launch their relationship with ExactTarget at the E-consultancy Supplier Showcase featuring E-mail Marketing: Platforms, Tools and Technologies, March 9, 2005 from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at 76 Portland Place, London.

The Home Depot, General Mills, Scotts, Churchill Downs, Encyclopedia Britannica, and more than 3,000 organizations worldwide rely on ExactTarget email solutions to strengthen their customer relationships and to control email throughout the enterprise. JupiterResearch ranks ExactTarget highest in business suitability in 2004 based on the solution’s usability, strong feature set and dynamic content tool.
