HBX On-Demand Web Analytics Upstages its Major Competitors in Head-to-Head Comparison

(SAN DIEGO, CA – February 23, 2005) — WebSideStory (www.websidestory.com)

(Nasdaq: WSSI), a leading provider of on-demand web analytics, today announced that its HBX analytics service, has earned the top score in InfoWorld’s Feb. 21 review of web analytics services. In a seven-page special report, InfoWorld (www.infoworld.com) gave the HBX service the only “excellent” rating and the top score of 8.7 out of ten.

The magazine said HBX provided the “best overall value” and called out numerous features and capabilities, including its detailed marketing campaign and e-commerce analysis, its advanced visitor segmentation, and its Microsoft Excel plug-in, HBX Report Builder.

The magazine also highlighted the HBX service’s usability including its use of easy-to-read KPI (key performance indicator) dashboards for measuring banners, keywords and other online marketing campaigns. “HBX On-Demand Web Analytics proved to be the best overall choice,” according to the review. “It easily harvested great detail about visitors and turned that data into detailed commerce reports, campaign analysis and navigation measurements. In particular, usability shone, as did the service’s cross-channel integration with CRM tools.”

The InfoWorld article also made note of HBX Stream, a suite of APIs that enables strategic partners to integrate their products, services and data with Web-SideStory’s award-winning analytics reporting. WebSideStory currently has more than 15 Stream partners, including affi liate marketing firms, e-mail service providers, search engine marketing companies, and behavioural targeting vendors.

WebSideStory also has an alliance with salesforce.com that integrates web analytics and CRM. The InfoWorld review follows several other accolades for HBX, including being awarded PC Magazine’s Editors’ Choice Award for Best Web Analytics Service last summer.
