Multi-title cataloguer and retailer Cannock Gates Ltd has launched a revamped website for recently acquired title Dig-it. Digivate has designed and built the vastly improved site, and provides hosting and maintenance as well as marketing and promotion services.

The site was built using Digivate’s TurboShop 4 to provide the underlying architecture. TurboShop 4 provides all the functionality a retailer needs to drive a powerful and responsive e-commerce website. Dig-it gain full control of content and advanced integration with their existing order processing software. In addition, Dig-it staff will be able to use the easy to use reporting module to keep track of key merchandising statistics for the site, from conversion rates by product to sales results by referring URL.

James Rowley, Marketing Director at Cannock Gates Ltd, says, “We’re experienced cataloguers and retailers, and we’ve been online for the last three years, so we know what we’re looking for. Out of all the agencies we reviewed, Digivate provided the best combination of home shopping know-how, flexible technology and excellent value.”

Will Gotley, Managing Director at Digivate, comments, “We’re delighted to win business from a successful multi-channel retailer like Cannock Gates.”

Dig-it offers a wide range of contemporary products for the garden and home, with style and elegance as the watchwords. The company has five catalogue brands, shops in Cannock and Chester as well as the websites. Dig-it was acquired by Cannock Gates Ltd in 2003.

Cannock Gates Ltd was founded in 1983 to make wrought iron gates. Since then the company has gone from strength to strength, expanding first into wooden gates, then garden accessories, followed by beds and finally gifts.

Digivate was founded in 1998 by a team with extensive retail and mail order experience. The company has always been dedicated to providing an integrated service for multi-channel merchants - from site design to online promotion, via site management and strategic consultancy. Current clients include Richer Sounds, Selfridges and Sofa Workshop.
