· Provides multi-currency and multi-lingual facility to support Insight Music's European business

Insight Music, part of the EMI Music Group and the biggest music direct response TV advertiser in Europe, has selected Shopcreator technology to power its new pan-European e-store. Shopcreator, the portal and e-business solution provider, will build a multi-lingual, multi-currency online store to provide Insight Music with a cost-effective sales channel to support its European music business. For the first time, Insight Music customers will be able to view Insight's TV commercials online before purchase. This will help to maximise sales across the company's product range, with the site expected to pay for itself within a year.

Insight Music began trading online in the UK in 2000 with the Shopcreator Stall solution. The new European e-store will be powered by the Shopcreator Apex Professional solution which will allow Insight Music to communicate with customers in three languages - English, German and Italian - and offer up to half a million products on the web. Customers can place orders online and these will be integrated with the back-office for accounts and fulfilment. Insight Music's e-store will be fully live in early 2004.

"We mainly advertise on television, so it's difficult to promote more than one CD compilation at a time. We will encourage customers to visit our site so that we can offer them an extended range of targeted products, helping us to maximise sales," said Denise McRae, Joint Managing Director of Insight Music. "The new Shopcreator-powered site gives Insight the opportunity to market test a huge range of compilations at low cost and will provide a solid platform for growth.

"We started e-commerce with a Shopcreator Stall in 2000," Denise McRae added. "This gave us a fantastic start in trading on the web and the low-cost solution actually delivered a complete return on our investment within days. The success of that initial project, and in particular the support we received from Shopcreator, gave us confidence and convinced us we could achieve a great deal by expanding our online sales channel on a European basis. And, because the solution is so flexible, we are already considering adding a French language site next year."
