Yell has announced a partnership with Oodle, a search engine for local classified adverts. The new service will allow users to add their own classified ads onto Yell's site.

Oodle is one of the largest classifieds search engines in the US and UK, and has recently being working with a number of media partners, including The Sun, to integrate its search capabilities into their classified listings.

Says Oodle UK manager Duncan Dunlop:

"There is no doubt that classifieds and business listings are converging online. By combining our classifieds listings index, the largest and freshest in the UK, with their existing data, Yell has stolen a lead on the market and is well positioned to capitalise on this trend."

Yell has been busy recently, adding a number of new features to its website, including a shopping channel featuring user reviews, and enhanced search and mapping features.
