WordPress is the most popular blogging platform around thanks to its user-friendly interface and affordable themes.

And in keeping with current web trends there are a huge number of excellent responsive templates currently available.

For small businesses or amateur bloggers a responsive WordPress theme is an excellent option as it allows the site owner to offer users a mobile experience without spending loads of money.

I’ve previously rounded up 10 simple responsive WordPress themes for small businesses, and to add to that list here are 11 more that are available either for free or for a relatively small investment.

Just to be clear, I haven’t tried out all of these themes but I’ve chosen them based on the UX of the demo versions or the quality of the customer reviews...

Cost: Free (sort of)

This simple, attractive theme is one of three available to download for free from Mammasaurus.

However it’s only a child theme, so in order for it to work you need to first download the Baylys parent theme which costs $12.

Red Page

Cost: $55

Red Page offers a slick, modern design that appears to be built with ecommerce in mind, though it would also work well as a portfolio.

It comes with built in Woocommerce support, so users can quickly setup their own responsive online store.

Cost: Free

Yoko is a free responsive theme that is best suited to blogs or magazines.

It looks very slick and comes with tutorial videos to guide users through the process of customising their site.

Cost: $55

Subway has achieved an average rating of 4.42 stars from 73 different reviewers, which is definitely a good sign.

It comes with a huge range of customisable features so with a bit of work you will be able to create your perfect site.

Cost: $45

Impreza has a five star rating on Theme Forest so you should be in safe hands with this responsive theme.

It is retina-ready and allows the user to build their own style or use one of 10 predefined colour settings.

According to the creators it is suitable for any type of website, including ecommerce, corporate, portfolio, or marketing.

Cost: $55

This theme also has excellent feedback from its customers and can boast a five star rating.

It allows users to choose from 12 different blog layouts and has a wide range of customisable features and widgets.

The creators say that it's best suited to blogs, magazines or minimal portfolios.

Cost: Free

Another simple but great-looking WordPress theme, Flat has basic functionalty at the moment but the developers seem to be constantly updating and refining it.

Cost: Free

Meeta is one of a number of themes available from WPZoom. It’s a free download though there are also premium versions available.

It offers a simple blogging layout but comes with all the features that one would expect from a decent WordPress theme.

Cost: Free

Buttercream is yet another simple blogging theme that offers a clean but attractive layout. Its sparse design scales well to smaller screen sizes.

Cost: Free

Oxygen is a magazine theme that offers a fluid layout that scales perfectly to smaller screens.

It has a minimal layout but offers a number of customisable options.

Cost: $45

This premium theme has a 4.5 star rating and comes with a huge number of customisable options and plugins.

Hey Mate!! What a great collection you have displayed for us!! Thanks a lot!!!
Well 3 months ago I started using WordPress for website development for my clients and believe me I have never seen such types of themes ever. I will definitely download Oxygen and Meeta themes for my upcoming projects. You know what when I started my carrier in development, one of my friend suggested some websites names such as themeok(.)org, nullednet.com and wordpress(.)org as well. He told me that these websites are well known for their huge collection of free WordPress themes and plug-ins. So I think you should also visit on such types of websites for making splendid and vast collections.
